Owner/Proprietor is Chef Patricia Connolly, who brings a wealth of passion and experience in food preparation, catering, technology and financial service management.
In her home, growing up, Mom’s cooking was basic and plain but got the family through the day, well nourished. So with a desire and craving for different flavors & diversity, Pat set out to learn how to cook and bake. Her first baking project was petit fours, lovely little pink cakes beautifully decorated & a crowd pleaser. She felt so rewarded watching the enjoyment on people’s faces and was hooked from that point!
She earned a BS degree in Psychology from Hunter (CUNY), and later completed culinary training at the NY Restaurant School (now known as Institute for Culinary Education in NY).
She operated a small catering business at a profit for several years. However, with 3 young kids, the catering business schedule wasn’t ideal for spending quality time with them, so Pat focused on a corporate career in technology and financial management, becoming a VP at JP Morgan.
Loving food, it was only a matter of time, and now there is Garnish Catering NYC! Her passion to realize her dream of serving others through her love of food, entertaining, and community was always Pat’s calling….and now that pursuit is a reality.
